Bozen, the capital of South Tyrol, boasts the ideal wine-growing climate. Blessed with warm summers, mild winters and 300 days of sun a year, the area is like heaven for Lagrein grapes. With these naturally given conditions, all remaining steps necessary to yield highest-quality wines here at reyter Wine Estate, are the winegrower’s responsibility.

They do exist! Those wineries, where you feel comfortable immediately upon arrival – because it’s revealed at first sight: everything here is authentic, nothing is fake. It starts with the gate to our winery, the reflection of perfect imperfection, which runs like a common thread through the life and doing of our family Unterhofer.

Various herbs and grains form a balancing symbiosis with the vines. Raising our vines following certified ecological principals, we bow to mother nature’s rhythm. And so, every year anew she shapes the characterizing peculiarities of our wines.
